“Shell”

Oct. 3, 2025

Desperate to reclaim her career, once-beloved actress Samantha Lake (Elisabeth Moss) is drawn into the glamorous world of wellness mogul Zoe Shannon (Kate Hudson) — only to uncover a monstrous truth beneath its flawless surface.

Directed by Max Minghella and featuring Arian Moayed, this horror movie is showing in limited theaters and video-on-demand on Prime starting Oct. 3.

“Genie, Make a Wish”

Limited Series
Oct. 3, 2025

Genie — a magic spirit in a lamp who has come back to the human world after a millennium of his career being put on hold — encounters Ka-young, an impassive woman who goes through the motions of life by her grandmother’s rules and her own routines.

Stream the South Korean series on Netflix starting Oct. 3. Written by Kim Eun-sook, the screenwriter behind “Guardian: The Great and Lonely God” and “Mr. Sunshine,” the K-drama stars Kim Woo-bin, Bae Suzy, and Steve Sanghyun Noh.

“Boots”

Limited Series
Oct. 9, 2025

Set in the tough, unpredictable world of the 1990s U.S. Marine Corps — when being gay in the military was still illegal — the series follows directionless, closeted Cameron Cope and his best friend Ray McAffey (Liam Oh), the son of a decorated Marine, as they join a diverse group of recruits. Together, this ensemble navigates the literal and metaphorical landmines of boot camp, forging unlikely bonds and discovering their true selves in an environment designed to push them to their limits.

The eight-episode series features Liam Oh and Joy Osmanski in its ensemble cast. You can watch on Netflix starting Oct. 9.
