The Department of Transportation is increasing the number of weekly round-trip flights of Chinese airlines to the U.S. next month in anticipation of the summer season.

Number of flights: The Transportation Department announced on Monday that there will be 50 weekly round-trip flights to and from China starting March 31, up from the current 35 weekly round trips approved in November 2023. Additionally, the office said it is working to ease cross-border travel and “promote people-to-people exchange” between China and the U.S.
