Asian American Town, in partnership with the Portland Night Market (PDXNM), is proud to announce the inaugural Legendary Makers Market: An Asian American Night Market, a celebration of Asian American storytelling across food, craft, media, music, wellness and art in the Pacific Northwest which will be held on Friday, November 3 from 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 4, 2023 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at 100 SE Alder Street in Portland, Oregon.
The Legendary Makers Market is poised to make history as the largest pan-Asian American-centered event ever held in Oregon and expecting to have over 125 participating vendors and partners. The event will also include film screenings coordinated in partnership with Theatre Diaspora with appearances from notable AAPI/Asian American filmmakers Mike Truong from All the Homies Network, Luann Algoso the creator of Gabby Smashes Web Series, Anchitta Noowong, and more.
There will also be a Wellness Refuge at the market that will include yoga, acupuncture, massage, and more coordinated by Whitney Handrich and Jenna Nishimura.
Art activations will feature a community zine building project led by A’misa Chiu, and entrance mural art by Alex Chiu and Rebecca Nguyen.
