The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber has released the 2023 dates for two of Downtown Cincinnati’s biggest festivals of the year. Taste of Cincinnati will return Memorial Day weekend from Saturday-Monday, May 27-29, and Oktoberfest will happen Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 14-17.
“These beloved festivals, powered by so many attendees, really tell the Cincinnati story in unique ways. We all look forward to them each and every year,” Jill Meyer, CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, in a press release.
2022 saw the return of Taste of Cincinnati after the pandemic brought it to a pause, making it the first time since 2019 both Taste of Cincinnati and Oktoberfest were held in the same year. The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber says hundreds of thousands of people attended both events.
“Last year, we were thrilled to bring back every one of our signature events, and it was beyond apparent the rest of you were ready as well. We’re excited to continue that momentum in 2023 as we celebrate our hometown, its cultures, and cuisine while supporting dozens of local businesses,” Meyer continued.
Taste of Cincinnati, one of the country’s largest free culinary arts festivals, will take place along Fifth Street from Walnut to Sentinel from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 29. Organizers say there will be more than 65 restaurants, food trucks and Findlay Market Vendors present, as well as live entertainment.
Likewise, Oktoberfest will happen on Second and Third streets. The festival, which is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the country, showcases Cincinnati’s rich German heritage as Downtown transforms into a colorful Bavarian village complete with German-style food, music and beer. Its hours are:
- Thursday, Sept. 14: 5-11 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15-16: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m….
