A video of an elderly Sikh couple participating in a spontaneous photoshoot has warmed the hearts of netizens around the world.
In the viral video uploaded to Instagram on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, photographer Sutej Singh Pannu approaches the couple as they’re sitting in the sun and enjoying a cup of tea. He compliments the couple, telling them that they look very “lovely” and asks to take their picture.
After Pannu prints their photo and presents it to them, the man asks Pannu to take another picture of them, this time while standing. The man curls his mustache while the woman adjusts her dupatta in preparation for the photo.
Along with the video, Pannu wrote about spiritual awareness in his post’s description:
The space of wholeness is not outside but present very much within you. As the light of awareness starts making its way back to the source, the divine light within starts shinning [sic] outwardly. Inward healing leads to healing of existence on the outside. Once you realize this co-relation of inward healing with outside healing, the game of duality ends and the truth of oneness takes over your consciousness. The thoughts become neutral and the blockages of mental trauma get healed. Rigidness turns into flow and resistance turns into acceptance. Right at the door step of this inner acceptance the magic of inner joy, inner knowing and eternal bliss takes over your existence.
The video has garnered over 9 million views and 970,000 likes, with many users showing admiration for the couple and praising Sannu for being kind to them.
“Beautiful isn’t enough to describe this,” one user commented.
“Brother, so much respect for you for the way you spoke to them and accommodated all their excitement and joy,” wrote another. “Please keep doing what you do!”
