BTS leader RM has released a new music video for his song “Closer,” with scenes from Park Chan-wook’s mystery film “Decision to Leave.”
RM shared his excitement for the music video in a recent Instagram post.
“I added some lo-fi arrangement to match the mood of the video! It’s an honor to be part of a movie I love,” he wrote in his post’s caption.
Park told Vulture about a conversation he had with RM in which the BTS member divulged that he has watched “Decision to Leave” at least six times. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year, snagging Park the Best Director prize.
“Decision to Leave” stars Tang Wei as a mysterious widower named Song Seo-rae and Park Hae-il as Detective Jang Hae-jun, who is investigating the murder of Song’s husband.
“Closer” is featured on RM’s debut solo album “Indigo,” which was released in December 2022. The 10-track album features collaborations from artists such as Anderson .Paak, Tablo of Epik High and Mahalia.
