The Oscar-nominated song “Naatu Naatu” from the film “RRR” will be performed at the 95th Academy Awards by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
“Naatu Naatu,” composed by Golden Globe winner M.M. Keeravaani with lyrics by Chandrabose, is nominated for Best Song against “This Is a Life” from Oscars frontrunner “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman,” “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Aside from “Naatu Naatu,” Oscar-nominee Stephanie Hsu will join David Byrne and Son Lux to sing “This Is a Life,” Sofia Carson and Diane Warren will perform “Applause” and Rihanna will perform “Lift Me Up” at the award ceremonies.
“RRR,” starring Ram Charan and N.T. Rama Rao Jr., is an epic adventure that follows the journeys of two friends turned enemies in India’s struggle for independence.
The 95th Academy Awards will take place on March 12, with Jimmy Kimmel serving as host.
