For some, true love only happens once in a lifetime. For others, well… it’s a little more complicated.

The first trailer for “One True Loves” released today, Feb. 16, and shows Phillippa Soo’s Emma deeply in love with her high school sweetheart and husband, Jesse (Luke Bracey). But the couple’s happy marriage comes to a devastating end when Jesse dies in an accident. Heartbroken, Emma initially resists moving on, until she finds an unexpected connection with charming music teacher Sam (Simu Liu). But it’s no bed of roses — just as Sam and Emma begin building a life together, Jesse miraculously returns, forcing Emma to choose between her first love and her new love.

“One True Loves” premieres in theaters on April 7, 2023 and is directed by Andy Fickman (“She’s the Man”). The film is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s 2016 romance novel of the same name. Watch the trailer below for more!
