M. Night Shyamalan, the two-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind box-office hits such as “The Sixth Sense” and “Split,” has signed a multi-year, first-look directing and producing agreement with the Warner Bros. Pictures Group (WBPG).

The agreement covers original projects that Shyamalan, 52, will produce and/or direct for two WBPG production divisions: Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema. Shyamalan’s Philadelphia-based production company, Blinding Edge Pictures, reportedly has a number of projects in development.

WBPG co-chairs and CEOs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy praised Shyamalan in a recent joint statement.

Shyamalan recently directed the thriller “Knock at the Cabin,” which stars Dave Bautista, Kristen Cui, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Abby Quinn. He currently serves as a director and executive producer of the hit Apple TV series “Servant,” which will air its finale on March 17.

The filmmaker’s next directing project is a film titled “Trap,” which is set to hit theaters on Aug. 2, 2024. He will also be serving as a producer of “The…
