Henry Golding will star in the sci-fi romance film “Daniela Forever” from Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo.
Golding will play a man who, while grieving the sudden death of his girlfriend in a recent accident, signs up for a sleep trial that will allow him to see her again through lucid dreaming.
Vigalondo, who is best known for “Colossal,” starring Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis, expressed his excitement about Golding joining the project.
This movie is built around a deeply human character trapped in twisted plot, something Henry Golding is so perfect for this almost feels unreal. I’m enthusiastic about the team gathered around this project, and I hope the story delivers everything I want to say about love, dreams and Madrid.
“Daniela Forever” will begin filming in Madrid around spring or summertime.
Golding recently concluded filming on Netflix’s “Old Guard 2” and has a lead role in the upcoming Paramount thriller “Assassin Club.”
He was recently announced as part of the cast of Guy Ritchie’s upcoming WWII flick, “Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.”
