In celebration of Global Diversity Awareness Month this October, Samsung Electronics America proudly reaffirms our unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging for all employees. Recognizing the invaluable contributions of a representative workforce, we are dedicated to creating an environment where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive and where the power of diverse perspectives is harnessed to drive innovation and growth. At the heart of this commitment are our employee resource groups (ERGs) and affinity groups, whose remarkable efforts have played a pivotal role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within our organization.
Our six ERGs – Galaxy of Black Professionals, Next Generation Leaders, Pride, Unidos, Veterans Community, and Women+ in Samsung Electronics – alongside our affinity groups – Interfaith Community, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Community, and Indigenous People’s Community – have achieved impactful DEI milestones. They have elevated cultural moments and holidays, promoted deeper understanding, influenced early-release holidays, and championed a range of employee benefits that reflect Samsung’s commitment to our diverse workforce. From product launches to expanded family coverage and increased non-primary caregiver leave to enhanced mental health support and a comprehensive LGBTQIA+ benefits guide, these initiatives reflect our holistic approach to ensuring that every employee feels valued, respected, empowered and are enabled to serve our customers better.
