It’s time to return to the dojo! Netflix released the trailer for the first part of the sixth and final season of “Cobra Kai,” which will hit the streaming platform on July 18.

Over 30 years after the events of The Karate Kid franchise, the “Cobra Kai” spin-off follows the ongoing rivalry between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) as the Cobra Kai dojo reopens, reviving old conflicts. Larusso and Lawrence go from being enemies to working together to take down competing dojo owners John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). The sixth season starts off after Cobra Kai is eliminated from the All-Valley tournament, but despite their loss the students and senseis consider competing in the Karate world championship, aka the Sekai Taikai.

With the first part of the season out later this month, part two will follow on November 28 and part three will wrap the series up in 2025. “Cobra Kai” originally debuted on Youtube Premium in 2018, before switching to Netflix for its third season. The show has garnered wide acclaim with the third season earning a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmys. The series includes actors Xolo Maridueña, Peyton List and Tanner Buchanan, alongside many actors from The Karate Kid films. By the looks of it, the sixth and final season promises an exciting, action-packed end to the beloved franchise. Check out the trailer for yourself, and see you in the dojo!
