A Chinese mother’s reaction to her teenage son’s warning before a parent-teacher meeting has warmed hearts on social media.
The woman from Shanghai, identified only as Mrs. Deng, shared online that her son left a note on his school desk, advising her to disregard any complaint his teacher would make during the meeting.
“Mother, please don’t check my desk. I’ve left you a pen and a small piece of paper. Don’t listen to the teacher’s gibberish,” the note read, according to The Paper.
Instead of reacting negatively to her son’s attempt to protect himself from being scolded, Mrs. Deng expressed understanding and tolerance.
According to the mother, she considers her son’s message a sign of maturity.
“Every kid has their own potential and intelligence, and I believe my son is the same,” said Mrs. Deng.
Many parents commended Mrs. Deng for being understanding and warm-hearted, while some students expressed envy toward the son for having an understanding mother.
“The son must trust his mother very much,” a commenter wrote.
“The mother is a warm-hearted person and has strong common sense,” another chimed in. “I’m envious.”
