Natalie Plaza, 18, and Elijah Fernandez, 21, were arrested on hate crime and assault charges after they insulted, punched, and kicked a man and a woman near the corner of Junction Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue on March 2 about 2:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
Plaza, from Richmond Hill, was inside a white Acura SUV when she yelled an anti-Asian slur and threw water at the 44-year-old woman, authorities said.
Fernandez, Plaza, and another man exited the car and started punching and kicking the woman and the 24-year-old man who was with her, police said.
The three attackers fled in the SUV, and police released images of them on Saturday.
The injured pair were treated for injuries to the head at a nearby hospital, authorities said.
