Adele Lim and Eugene Lee Yang Join Unforgettable Gala 2024

Director Adele Lim (“Joy Ride”) and filmmaker Eugene Lee Yang (“The Try Guys”) have been announced as the selection committee co-chairs of the 22nd Annual Unforgettable Gala. 

Unforgettable (colloquially known as “UNFO”) is the nation’s longest-running awards show honoring Asian Pacifics in entertainment, arts and culture. This year’s event, set for Dec. 14, is expected to bring more than 500 industry leaders to Los Angeles’ Beverly Hilton for a night of celebration and musical performances. 

As co-chairs, Lim and Yang will head an esteemed committee of actors, recording artists, filmmakers, studio executives and community leaders as they nominate and vote on the night’s biggest awards. Both Lim and Yang have previously been recognized at UNFO, with Lim receiving 2023’s Director Award and Yang receiving 2015’s Male Breakout Star of the Year. 

“Unforgettable is truly one of the most anticipated, exciting events in Asian Hollywood because it is a real celebration of our peers by our peers,” Lim said. “This year’s UNFO has become even more meaningful, with more seasoned professionals who have come up together. We get to celebrate our successes and pass the torch to the next generation of API talent and innovators.”

Yang added: “UNFO began at a time when Asians were truly invisible in this industry, when there were so few roles and even fewer stories, and no one else was recognizing us. Adele and I know how much it means to be recognized at Unforgettable, to be celebrated by the members of our own community. As we gear up to lead this year’s selection committee, we are honored and excited to highlight the incredible work that’s being created.”
