SEVENTEEN’s special sub-unit BSS is back with their first single album, “SECOND WIND.”
The unit consists of members Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi. Their name comes from the letters of each members’ Korean names: Boo Seung-kwan, Lee Seok-min and Kwon Soon-young.
“SECOND WIND” is the subunit’s first new release since their debut single “Just do it” in 2018.
The album is designed to be a workout playlist with songs for the different times of day, according to a press release.
The lead single, “Fighting,” features South Korean rapper Lee Young Ji and aims to be a morning anthem. It is followed by the B-sides “LUNCH,” a pop R&B number meant to help combat midday drowsiness, and “7 PM,” a relaxing evening tune featuring Peder Elias.
Hoshi, DK, Seungkwan and fellow SEVENTEEN member Woozi all co-wrote “Fighting” alongside Lee Young Ji. The four members also penned “LUNCH” together, while Woozi and Peder Elias co-wrote “7PM.”
SEVENTEEN recently concluded their “BE THE SUN” world tour in 2022, which took place in 19 cities across 29 shows. NextShark reviewed their Seattle concert show and said it was “nothing short of iridescent with a spectrum of a showman’s spark.” The tour ended with numerous awards and recognition from the MTV Video Music Awards, MTV European Music Awards, Japan Record Awards and Asia Artist Awards.
