Some may say that Disney magic only exists in the confines of childhood fantasies and old VCR tapes — but this last weekend the hold Disney has on the greater culture shows that beloved Disney magic is not lost in adulthood. Thousands made their way to the Anaheim convention center, some dressed in their favorite character’s costumes, some repping Mickey Mouse on their t-shirts, but all eager to visit D23 for sneak peeks, immersive popups, and, of course, the chance to meet your favorite Disney stars, throughout the convention.
But the main event had to be the star-studded presentations that occurred at the Honda Center throughout the three-day event. Disney announced and showed sneak peek footage of their future plans for films, television shows, and even amusement parks. Take a look below for the API projects coming to you soon!

“Moana 2” — In theaters Nov. 27, 2024
Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson both came on stage to present a new trailer for the upcoming sequel, which premieres this Nov. 27. Cravalho not only sang an unreleased song from “Moana 2” but also gave a few details about what Moana has been doing since we last saw her.
“Freakier Friday” — In theaters 2025
The beloved sequel to the 2005 film is in full swing. Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis came on stage to announce the title “Freakier Friday” and give viewers a sneak peek at some photos they’ve taken during the production.
