A New Jersey man has been arrested for breaking into a residence in Central New York because it belonged to an Asian American business owner, according to police.
The aftermath: Ramos was immediately arrested. However, his accomplices managed to flee despite a search that involved assistance from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police K-9 and drone units, Manlius police said.
Charges: Ramos has been charged with one count of second-degree burglary, one count of third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and one count of fourth-degree conspiracy. He was released on bail but was immediately detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement due to an immigration detainer.
