A TikTok video of a young primary school student in Malaysia dancing in celebration of his classmate’s birthday has gone viral.
Uploaded by Elden Chan (@eldenchan17) on Feb. 16, the 13-second clip shows the young child dancing as the rest of the class sings “Happy Birthday” in Mandarin. The recipient of the heartwarming performance, a Malay student, smiles and laughs through her mask in amusement.

“He sang the birthday song,” Chan, the class’s teacher, wrote in the captions in Malay. “He loves his Malay friends.”
The students are reportedly from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina, a Chinese national-type primary school sponsored by the government, in Kuala Lumpur.
The video reached the hearts of many on TikTok, gaining over 4.2 million views and 413,700 likes as of this writing.
