Following up on her 2021 debut album “XOXO,” Canadian Korean K-pop soloist Jeon Somi returns with her latest comeback EP entitled “Game Plan,” with the title song, “Fast Forward.”
Released today, August 7, the five-track EP highlights Somi’s growth as an artist, offering a more elevated look and sound to her music, as well as showcasing her pen game as she partook in the writing for three of the songs (“Gold Gold Gold,” “Fxxked Up” and “Pisces”) on the album.
In addition to her EP, Somi premiered a music video for her comeback’s title track, “Fast Forward.” Delivering a more upbeat-dance-leaning track in the deep house genre, the song is reminiscent of Madonna’s classic hit, “Vogue,” with an energetic hook and elevated pre-chorus. “Fast Forward’s” lyrics convey a desire to find love, ‘fast forwarding’ through all the phases of dating to finally end up with the one.
