Salt air and the rust on your door, I never needed anything more… than a new season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

A year after the Prime Video series’ hit debut, the long-awaited first trailer for season two just dropped, promising another summer of romance and surprise. Transporting audiences back to Cousins Beach, the drama continues as Belly (Lola Tung) remains torn between brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno).

In the minute-long teaser, Taylor Swift’s “August” scores longing stares, vibrant carnivals and stunning sunsets by the ocean – everything required for a perfect Belly Conklin summer. But, with her complicated feelings for the Fisher boys and the return of their mother’s cancer, the 16-year-old worries that Cousins may never be the same. Still, when an unexpected visitor threatens the future of their beach house, Belly rallies her crew – including her brother Steven (Sean Kaufman), best friend Taylor (Rain Spencer) and ex-fling Cam (David Iacono) – to salvage the rest of their summer.

Season 2 will see the return of Jackie Chung as Laurel Conklin and Rachel Blanchard as Susannah Fisher, adding Elsie Fisher (“Eighth Grade”) and Kyra Sedgwick (“The Closer”) in recurring roles. Production was led by Sarah Kucserka and Jenny Han, who wrote the best-selling novels that inspired the show.

The first three episodes of season two will premiere on July 14, with weekly installments set to follow. So, grab your bathing suit, a pint of ice cream and get ready to tune in – because, as the teaser says, “nothing feels better than summer.”
