Calling all filmmakers! The 19th Annual 72-Hour Shootout filmmaking competition is back and is for everyone from amateurs to established filmmakers. Filmmaking teams have the opportunity to compete for access to a year of free educational and networking events, mentorships wth executives at major networks like ABC, cash, prizes, and the chance to have their film premiere at the Asian American International Film Festival.
The Shootout is an annual worldwide film competition where teams have 72 hours to write, shoot, edit and produce short films up to five minutes in length. Put on by the Asian American Film Lab, the competition gives a chance for filmmakers of color – focusing on Asian Americans – to showcase their talents, gain exposure in the entertainment industry and bring awareness to a multitude of stories and characters in film.
If you’re a newbie who needs a push to start on that movie you’ve always wanted to make, or a seasoned veteran behind the camera looking to hone their skills, this is the opportunity for you.
