Cui Chenxi, 13, won gold in women’s street skateboarding competition at the Asian Games, becoming China’s youngest gold medalist.
Zeng secured silver, while Japan’s Miyu Ito, 16, took home the bronze medal.
About Cui: The 13-year-old started roller skating at the age of 3 before eventually taking up skateboarding three years ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following her win, Cui has set her sights on the Paris Olympics, aiming to make an impact on the international stage.
Other competition updates: In the women’s park event, Japan’s Hinano Kusaki, 15, clinched gold, while Chinese skaters Li Yujuan, 20, and Mao Jiasi, 15, secured silver and bronze, respectively.
In the men’s street finals, Chinese skater Zhang Jie also won gold, while his teammate Su Jianjun took bronze to once again prove China’s dominance in the Asian Games.
